Bye bye Matty the Best Dog Ever

Dogs are like people, some are special, some less so. For the last 5 years we were lucky enough to be invited by our lovely cousins to house sit, and spend the end of the summer looking after Matty.

So many things to say about Matty.

1st, he was a Lurcher, and could run and jump, so he was awesome to be out in nature with. He could jump fences and stye like a horse, we looked in pity at Labradoor owners trying to lift their dogs over styes on many an occasion.

2nd, he lived in the most glorious countryside, Saffron and Fred called him a field dog, and it showed in his soul. He hated us having a lie in, he wanted to get out and walk, and he really reinforced to us the joy of just being out in the hills. After being with Matty we could never have a dog in the city.

3rd, wow he could run fast, he made throwing stick a whole new sport, my arms were never strong enough to throw as far and he could run.

4th, he loved a bit of attention, and being scratched, but he wasn't needy or neurotic, if he was walked and fed he was totally happy. The perfect balance between being well trained and carefree, so fair dues to his wonderful parents. Anyway here are some pics of Matty and a little tribute xxxxxx
